"Strange Days on Planet Earth"

part 1

Jim studies aliens(animals that have moved across to different regions). For example there are termites that have came from china to New orelands and they are destroying houses by completely making the houses cave in because they just eat the wood and that makes it structurally unsound. The termites have found a perfect home because it is similar to their home land because it is humid and hot. There has been other cases like fruit flies destroying crops and others jamming sewer lines.

part 2

"Wevals" the nastiest things you'll ever hear of. They have infested lake Victoria in the thousands! They are terrible they choke other plants to gain room, they also dirty and bring diseases to the waters like malaria. So scientists checked everywhere for wevals enemy so they could get rid of the problem. They finally found what they where looking for and then they took them did some testing to check if they would eat local crops, then they released them. It took about five years until they saw some great results, it slowly ate away the plant and was a big success! A plant named Biconia is destroying Hawaii's biggest island because it kills other plants with either chemical warfare or strangling it. By killing these other plants it loosens the ground because plants pull together the ground with their roots. Anyways its roots are more loose and don't hold the ground together which causes land slides and soon "THE WHOLE ISLAND CAN SLIDE INTO THE OCEAN!!" This is happening at a fast rate because it has hundreds of berries and each berry contains hundreds of seeds! Animals and wind carry them around and that's how they have spread. But people finally have found where they are because they reflect a lot of light so they just check it from satellites and the they can find them and kill them!

part 3

Now in the 21 century we have a lot more transportation than ever! So animals have been transported around the globe because of us. Back a few centuries a go, animals could only go as far as they could walk or swim. But now they are able to travel oceans and break impossible barriers! And also other animals that do live here are dieing because we are putting to much CO2 and it has cause the temperature to go up 1 degree! Even though it doesn't seem much''...it...is...a..LOT!'' Because of it going up it is evaporating a lot more and if you know your water cycle you know what a lot of evaporation does! Yup you got it a whole lot of rain and since this happened in Alaska all the rain turned into snow and that covered the food for the caribou in thick snow they couldn't dig through. And because the rising temperatures mosquitoes prospered and the population blasted through the roof! Now they where killing caribou by just sucking all the blood out. People don't even think it is a problem and they don't even try to even help because they are to much in to their problems!

part4

At the Caribbean doctors have been reporting a lot more asima and disease cases than usual, and this is because dust. The reason is because lake Chad in Nigeria, it has been reduced to 1/20 of it's original size and everything that it has reduced from has dust blowing around because two swirling vortexes of wind that just blow it around(vortexes on the pacific ocean). And this is blowing all of the dust to the Americas.

part5

Lake Garvey wasn't like it is now it was once lush and beautiful with tons of plant life. But now that it has flooded all the animals have been growing desperate and now and they are just eating to much vegetation and not leaving any. Trees are dieing off because predators aren't there to stop the population of animals there that eat vegetation. While in Yellow stone the same thing is happening, because the predators are gone wild life is increasing in huge numbers! All these animals kill the trees by eating to much one of the trees that is scarce is the Aspen tree. So they released wolfs into Yellow Stone let them repopulate. A few years later there are 15 packs and 105 wolfs total. They are doing their job by killing animals and keeping them away from all the plants so now the plants can be lush and abundant! So this really worked out great!
